PRESS: Russia’s Kogan seeks more funds for UralSib bailout
MOSCOW, Apr 28 (PRIME) -- Russian businessman Vladimir Kogan is discussing with the central bank a possibility to additionally finance a bailout of Bank UralSib, Kommersant business daily reported Thursday citing sources on the market.
In late 2015, the Deposit Insurance Agency (DIA) provided 81 billion ruble loans to finance the bank’s bailout.
Kogan, the bank’s major shareholder, is not satisfied with financial state of UralSib insurance company, which is being consolidated on the basis of the bank, and seeks either to pull out from business or additionally finance the bailout.
A spokesperson for Bank UralSib told Kommersant that neither the bank, nor the insurance company had applied for additional financing.
